Manufacturing Technician

Role Summary:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded from time to time to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.

Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures and housekeeping standards.
Communicates with shift Supervisors and Master Technicians on issues/concerns within the Dip/De-Wax cell, and the status of jobs being worked on.
Conduct and continually improve on processes within the Dip/De-Wax cell.
Maintain electronic files in Access if any changes or adjustments are needed to process the job quicker.
Adding sand and cleaning sand beds.
Measurement of the slurry mixture to ensure the right consistency.
Cleaning of the slurry tanks when needed - Large vats that need to be emptied, scraped, washed down, and re-filled with slurry mixture.
Maintaining and cleaning the Dip and De-Wax cell – sweeping and washing.
Unscrewing the mold from the mold hanger in order to put a cup on the mold for the next step. 
Lift the mold from the cup machine and load it onto the mold cart to load into the autoclave.
Loading and unloading of the autoclave.
Loading all sprues from the de-waxing process (autoclave) and load into the sprue-cleaning machine.
Patch molds so there are no leakers.
Lift molds onto the conveyer system that enters into the burn out furnace.
Complete PM”s on the machines in a timely fashion.
Responsible for getting approximately 4 loads of molds into the autoclave per hour.
Assist in the training of any new hires.
Dependable and reliable attendance required.
Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures.  Ensure compliance with all quality and safety regulations.
Ensures product is not moved to the next operation until the required inspection and tests are complete.
The process of moving the product, including to an AS/RS, confirms that the product was inspected and passed inspection.

Back up for other areas if the continuous flow manufacturing process is interrupted to remove any backlogs.  This could include working in the Wax Cell, Melt Cell, or Finishing Cell.

This position requires a high school diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent. 
Must possess good computer skills and be able to learn new skills as needed.  This position requires one to two years of training.

Safety glasses and safety shoes must be worn in all manufacturing areas.  Additional PPE may be required as needed.
