Risk Management Specialist I

· Partner with other key teams within the company and execute on the disaster recovery strategy
· Analyze business resilience requirements and collaborate with engineers/developers to ensure technology (infrastructure and applications) meets those requirements
· Develop disaster recovery patterns based on resilience requirements laid out in business impact analysis (BIA) document
· Plan, facilitate, execute, and document cross-functional (technology and business) disaster recovery planning and testing, including Tabletop and Functional exercises
· Act as a subject matter expert to system owners on industry standards and best practices for disaster recovery
· Assess current disaster recovery strategy, impacts and risks including business, legal and IT perspectives
· Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery plans exists, are readily available and can be used to recover technology assets during an event
· Partner with infrastructure and application support teams to ensure solutions meet DR requirements, including gap identification, assessment and remediation
· Support and/or manage Information Technology disaster recovery efforts in the event of a site outage
Provide off-hours support as required for recovery activities or exercises
What are the must haves for this role?  
· 3+ years’ experience in Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity Planning
· Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field; or work experience beyond the minimum required
· 7+ years’ experience in information systems, systems audit, or business analysis with a demonstrated knowledge of platform and infrastructure components
· Familiarity with networks and enterprise technologies, including servers, backups, virtualization, SAN, firewalls, VPN, and load balancers
· Advance knowledge and understanding of industry standard disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, including NIST and ISO 22301/27031
· Knowledge in methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analysis
· Effectively interact with business and IT units to provide end to end Disaster recovery solutions
· Effective at managing multiple projects, efforts, and priorities concurrently
· Ability to skillfully react and adapt to a constantly changing business and IT work environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to interface with all levels within the business and IT organizations
Familiarity with Agile methodology
What are the nice to haves for this role?  
· CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or equivalent certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
