This position is the highest level application architect within the Client’s Department.
This position will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
The primary duties of this position are to create and document Enterprise Architecture standards for client; assess current and planned application and business intelligence systems for adherence to standards; advise technical staff on standards during system design and development; mentor and train development staff on adherence to standards; and advise the CIO on any major architecture issues or concerns found during the course of these duties.
The architect is expected to research new technologies and keep updated on the appropriate use of current technology in the client environment.
Current application development technologies include .NET, Java, and COBOL. Middleware and ETL components include Visual Studio, Informatica, and SSIS. Database technologies include Oracle (including Exadata), DB2, and SQL Server.
Reporting and visualization technologies include Tableau, Business Objects, Crystal Reports, and SQL Reporting Server.
Required minimum qualifications include at least six years of recent experience as an application architect with additional technical training and/or certification such as CISA, ITAC, MCSE, or similar.
