The incumbent will serve as a resource for translating business needs and providing technical support for the SVRIS environment.
The incumbent is responsible for the overall hardware, software, network infrastructure and configuration of the technical environment for the Vital Records’ system applications.
The incumbent will also monitor production performance and software versioning and plan upgrades to the environment to support business changes.
This position works with the SVRIS vendor’s technical staff to coordinate, configure and maintain system enhancements and upgrades.
This position develops and implements technical policies, performs security tasks, manages and analyzes data, develops and generates reports based on analysis of business needs, and assists users in the installation and use of the SVRIS.
This position is responsible for end user support and will independently investigate technical issues, develop recommendations for resolution and implement approved solutions.
As part of investigating technical issues, the incumbent will identify, record, resolve, and when needed, escalate issues to the appropriate staff.
Support of SVRIS includes providing assistance with login, password reset, configuration settings, navigation within the systems, providing information on how to obtain authorization, and guidance in actual use of the systems.
This position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in information systems and data resource management, underlying technologies, project management, and the role of information technology in business operations.
This position will promote services and products and advocate for policies, standards and good practices.
This position will be asked to coordinate special projects and research information sources.
