Under general supervision, operates all aspects scheduling of a fast-paced, clinic environment in Otolaryngology Department.
Requires a high degree of patient interaction, utilization of patient information and billing systems, coordination of insurance documentation, creation and management of patient records, creation and maintenance of the department schedule and management of a high volume of telephone calls.
All processes performed support the policies and procedures of the Hospital and Center.
Other duties as assigned.
One year of prior experience as a receptionist/assistant in a medical setting is preferred.
Experience in use of computers, medical terminology, typing and office equipment, in order to fulfill established quality standards of the job.
Organizational skills and flexibility necessary in order to maintain smooth running of fast-paced clinic setting.
Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
