The Prelude/ADT Application Coordinator is responsible for the overall design, build and implementation of the EPIC Prelude/ADT application. The position oversees the development of appropriate standardized admitting and registration workflows, is responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to the application, develops system builds and leads all implementation activities. The Prelude/ADT Application Coordinator is responsible for working with the project leadership team and the system-wide admitting operational leadership team regarding scope, integration, and design decisions. The incumbent must be very knowledgeable in the technical and functional aspects of the Epic Prelude/ADT application and take a lead role in identifying and resolving operational and technical system issues which have an enterprise-wide impact on the project. Other duties as assigned.
Five or more years of experience in admitting/registration, patient access services, quality assurance, hospital revenue cycle or equivalent IT role impacting front and back-end registration related functions is required. Knowledgeable (technically and functionally) in the Epic Prelude/ADT application. Demonstrated module design and implementation skills. Strong process design experience. Ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts and maintain issues lists. Effective oral and written communication. Strong time management skills. Experience using Microsoft Office applications. Strong customer service skills across all levels of staffing. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to probe for information and clarification in order to fully understand the underlying needs that drive how the system is to be built and the impact on operational workflows. Epic Prelude/ADT Administrator certification is required.
Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or acquired through relevant work experience in a healthcare setting is required.
Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Must have Grand Central or Prelude Epic certification or proficiency.
