General Purpose of Position
 
The Project Manager II role is accountable for ensuring the best project solution given situational parameters, identifying project needs, composing scope statement(s), developing project plan(s), managing resources, and producing deliverables necessary to ensure the sponsoring business unit and related stakeholders are satisfied with the quality of the results, and that results are delivered on time and within a defined project budget. The Project Manager II role is accountable for identifying the best project method to execute the work, and for managing stakeholder expectations through communication and regular reporting. 
 
This role leads multiple project types by establishing and managing clear scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder requests for service considered high and strategic business initiative projects considered medium to high in risk, scope, cost and complexity by building teams to deliver expected results on time and within budget. The Project Manager II works across the organizational structure to ensure that projects requiring cross-functional teams with multiple interdependencies are defined, documented, and completed according to the most appropriate project management standard and best practice.  The Project Manager II represents the department by maintaining and communicating best practices and tools, supporting growth and development of individual team members through recognition and coaching, and supporting the identification and prioritization of project work across the organization.
 
The Project Manager must effectively carry out the essential duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the core values of the Organization in a positive manner.
