Role Summary/Purpose
This Project Leader position is in Custom Hardware R&D Engineering group within the Upstream Biotechnology business area in GE Healthcare Life Sciences. Project Leader is responsible for delivery of custom orders for tailored bioprocess solutions utilizing GEHC Xcellerex bioreactors and mixers. This position is accountable for achieving quality objectives, effective project execution as well as communicating project status and escalating issues when appropriate to facilitate transparency. In addition, there is added responsibility to contribute to and execute critical improvement projects to improve Modified Systems process efficiency
•             Leading and managing Xcellerex custom hardware projects from RFQ through delivery
•             Working closely with all support functions to deliver custom projects on-time within the agreed scope and on budget.
•             Direct project team and provide guidance to mitigate issues as they occur
•             Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills
•             High level of organization and task management skills
•             Excellent people skills
•             Ensuring compliance with Design History File (DHF) and other QMS requirements
•             Managing customer critical-to-quality (CTQ) objectives, regulatory requirements, schedules, and program risks and making decisions based on business objectives
•             Work within GEHC Quality Management System
•             Strong written and verbal communication skills
•             Experience with conflict resolution
•             7 years of relevant project leadership experience
•             Project management certification, nice to have but not required
•             Familiarity with bio-pharma industry and regulated industry standards, guidelines and best practices
•             BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical engineering
•             Electromechanical design experience
•             Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams and an ability to drive project design plans to completion
•             Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards
