Role Summary : Description:
The position is responsible for supporting various administrative functions within the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities, under the direction and supervision of the site EHS leader. Tis position does not require previous experience in EHS. The primary focus is to assist with data collection & entry, minor project tracking, collaborating with various levels of leadership and record maintenance to help ensure compliance of the EHS Dept.
Responsibilities : Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
•             Manage and track minor projects to completion, driving timely closure
•             Ability to prioritize multiple administrative tasks
•             Maintain hard and soft copy filing system of multiple EHS programs
•             Assist in EHS fairs, promotions s and recognition programs
•             Enter data electronically in Excel, Word and EHS web-based data system
•             Track and ensure timely invoice payment through billing system
•             Provide electronic written and verbal communications to business professionals, including government regulators
•             Post and maintain all required notices on EHS bulletin boards
Quality Specific Goals:
1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
4. Comply with EHS regulations and Policies
Qualifications : Required Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Proficient with electronic data bases & programs, including Microsoft Office, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Education – Associates degree in related field
2. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
3. Previous EHS Training/certifications
