Buyer/ Procurement Consultant
Description: Execute Materials procurement actions to support Integration, New Product Introductions and cost reduction projects. Assure material is ordered and scheduled per Oracle Material Plans. Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. May require a bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area Prior Experience is Required. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May report to an executive or a manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Key responsibilities include for assigned parts: Inventory management Supplier material Stream Maintain appropriate stocking levels Transactional Process Support Data maintenance of purchase orders, lead times, & safety stocks. Implementation of ECO changes. Assure timely return of MRB materials to and back from the supplier. Timely invoice discrepancy reconciliation with Accounts Payable Work with Manufacturing and Materials/Mfg team to meet GPRS needs as they arise. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and support Participate in supplier transfers and managing phase-in/phase-out activity. Maintain a teamwork environment with Sourcing and Supplier Quality Develop and maintain positive supplier relationships
1. Bachelors' degree and 6 years Sr. level supply chain experience or HS diploma and 8 years supply chain experience in a Sr. procurement role. Prior Experience is required
2. Ability to work in a past paced environment and motivate/mentor co-workers as needed.
3. Oracle Knowledge and experience
4. Lean Manufacturing experience
5. APICS Certification
