Application Support Manager
The Application Support Manager owns the reliability, availability, performance and scalability of the company’s application ecosystem.  Engages directly with infrastructure teams, monitoring, technology and business teams to resolve major incidents. Drives continual improvement and high availability matrix of application  by advocating technology, process and DevOps improvements that benefit the customer by providing more reliable service. Documents process and communicates clearly across product, business and technology functions regarding follow-ups to all major incidents and improvements, planned and implemented.

  • Owns testing of any changes before moving them to production to ensure high-quality implementation and knowledge transition to support. Owns driving Quality Assurance best practices are leveraged by project teams, focuses on driving automation, and adoption of standard metrics
  • Coordinates release management activities and ensures appropriate approvals through Duluth’s Change Control Board. Drives Change Management process improvements. Reports on approval and implementation success metrics
  • Responsible for delivering SLAs regarding reliability, availability and performance
  • Manages 3rd party IT partner contracts, relationships, and performance
  • Serves as single point of contact between Business Product Managers and Product Technology for a given product
  • Assists in the fiscal year budgeting process; owns and manages support expense budget
  • Strong experience with overseeing the management of on or off shore technology teams, including software engineers, QA, application architects, etc.
  • Strong experience in managing high availability metrics and SLAs
  • Knowledge and understanding of a broad range of technology dimensions from software to networks/infrastructure
  • Understanding technology processes including agile development, change management and project management
